Work Experience

December 2006 – Worked at the Designer Jewellers Group Plus exhibition at the Barbican centre. Duties included stock taking, conducting sales, handling cash, liaising with customers and showcase re-arrangement.

November 2006 – Teaching 2nd Level location drawing classes at the Edinburgh College of Art.

September 2006 – June 2007 – Artist in Residence at the Edinburgh College of Art.

23rd and 26th of September 2005 – Guest Lecturer at the Hiko Mizuno School of Jewellery, Shibuya, Tokyo
Title of Lecture: “Studying Jewellery and Silversmithing at the Edinburgh College of Art”.

September 2005 – Five-week work placement as workshop assistant to jeweller Mizuko Yamada in Tokyo, Japan. An exciting opportunity which included helping Ms. Yamada in preparing work for an upcoming exhibition, visiting galleries and exhibitions in Tokyo and gaining practical instruction on Japanese Raising techniques.

3rd - 8th of April 2005 – Attended a practical Anticlastic Raising Workshop held by Michael Goode at the Studio of Silversmith Brian Clarke near Dublin.

December 2004 – Produced a collection of jewellery for the annual departmental Christmas Sale and raised £1200 through the sale of my own jewellery.

December 2003 – Two-week work placement as Gallery Assistant at the Contemporary Applied Arts Gallery in London. Duties included stock taking, showcase re-arrangement, liaising with artists and clients, as well as conducting sales and advising customers.
